El día once de abril se celebra Why Not? el que se anuncia como “el primer festival de dubstep” con casi todos los grandes nombres del género y tres espacios (principal, roots of dubstep y dubstep forum) situados dentro del… ¿Ministry of Sound? Supongo que el espacio es el adecuado para ello y parece que nadie se ha quejado (demasiado) de las “malas compañías” pero….

Supongo que ya se habrán descargado el último programa de Dusk&Blackdown en Rinse FM, pero no se si habrán reparado en el especial que realizó Applebim. La segunda hora son algunos de los nombres que pueden hacer algo por el género este año, pero la primera, la de precalentamiento desde luego tiene un tracklist curioso:

El primero es este reciente documental de media sobre dubstep, donde Mary Anne Hobbs ofrece una serie de entrevistas a distinta gente de la escena para ofrecer una panorámica sobre distintos aspectos del género. El 2 de febrero en Radio 2 se emitió
un documental sobre el guitarrista John McGeoch, alguien que tiene una pequeña influencia en la forma de tocar y de sonar de la guitarra eléctrica en las últimas décadas. Este no se podía descargar, así que cuando escuchen al principio del mp3 el silencio y después un estruendoso ruido soy yo haciendo clic en la página. Ya puestos corrijan la errata al nombrar el archivo. Ambos están bastante bien y en particular este (Mary Anne Hobbs continua explotando el filón, el documento histórico fue el primero que hizo al respecto) es bastante emotivo.
